5,000 printed running tops for the New Forest Marathon: in days, after another supplier walked away
It was Thursday 23 September. The New Forest Marathon’s original T-shirt supplier had just let them down, the event was the following weekend, and the race director needed 5,000 printed tops before the start line opened.
The brief
The New Forest Marathon exists to get as many people as possible active and to raise money for local causes through its community fund. Its director, Andy Daish, called with a high-volume order and almost no time: 5,000 printed T-shirts, originally specified as a four-colour print on both the front and the back.
What we did
Four colours front and back was not achievable in the window. Within a couple of minutes on the phone we agreed a two-colour print on both sides instead. The tops were white, which removed the pre-treatment step and saved time, and the order went to the print location the moment it was confirmed.
Every garment was printed and sent on express delivery, and the full order arrived with two days still to spare.
