The brief
Printed T-shirts to promote one of Digital Catapult’s projects and to hand to attendees at the hackathon: the company name, the event, and the company’s contact details, on the black Gildan GD01 T-shirts the client had chosen. One hundred shirts across a range of sizes.
What we did
The design sat in two places, front left breast and across the back, so we prepared two screens and screen printed the run, which kept every shirt identical whatever its size. Once the client confirmed the visual mock-up the order went straight to press.
The shirts were printed and dispatched quickly enough for the client to check them well before the event.
The result
Digital Catapult wrote to thank us for the print, and we expect to be working with them on future events.
What Digital Catapult does
Digital Catapult works with start-ups building new sectors in the Internet of Things, 5G, AI and immersive technology, and with larger established companies that want to innovate and meet those earlier-stage businesses. It is not a research organisation: it has business and technology expertise and a network across academia and industry, and its job is to create the conditions in which the useful accident happens.
At the hackathon, teams network with mentors for technical help and feedback and then go through two rounds of judging. The shirts had to identify who was who for two days straight.
