What is Jumbo Screen Printing?
Jumbo Screen Printing is a large-format textile printing method that allows for oversized prints—far bigger than the standard chest or back print areas you typically see on t-shirts or sweatshirts. It’s designed for brands and creatives who want to go big, go bold, and get noticed.
Unlike regular screen printing, which usually covers a space of around A3 size, jumbo screen printing uses larger screens and custom-built platens to produce prints that can cover almost the entire front, back, or even sleeve-to-sleeve areas of a garment.
Jumbo screen printing involves the same set-ups and process as standard screen printing but it allows for a larger print area than the standard 35cm x 45cm.
Using our jumbo screens, we can print up to 45cm x 55cm allowing for a much larger printable area, which is a great solution if you are printing onto larger garments or large pieces of fabric. At Garment Printing we are always using state-of-art-machinery and the best printing techniques to achieve the best possible result.

It’s particularly useful for edge-to-edge designs, or visuals that need to cover most of the fabric.
The result? A visually striking, fashion-forward finish that’s ideal for brands looking to make a statement or create unique limited-edition apparel.

Why Choose Jumbo Screen Printing?
If you're looking to make a bold impression, Jumbo Screen Printing delivers impact that standard print sizes simply can’t match. By allowing your design to stretch beyond the typical chest or back area, this technique transforms your garments into statement pieces that stand out from the crowd.
It’s ideal for fashion brands, artists, streetwear collections and promotional campaigns that want more than just a logo—it’s for those who want to tell a story across the entire fabric. Whether you're designing wraparound graphics, large photographic prints, or oversized logos, jumbo printing ensures your creative vision isn’t limited by size.
Not only does it elevate the visual presence of your apparel, but it also adds perceived value, making your products feel more exclusive, custom and high-end.
If you’re serious about style, creativity, and standing out—Jumbo Screen Printing is your go-to.
Uses of Jumbo Screen Printing
Jumbo screen printing is a perfect option if you are looking to produce a large print on a large surface area. It is always good to keep in mind that, in order to keep set-up costs as low as possible, we base the largest print size on the smallest sized garment. Otherwise, there will be set-up costs incurred for each print size which, depending on the quantity that is to be printed, may or may not be feasible.
With jumbo screen printing, it is always best to contact our highly-trained printing experts so that we can give you guidance and advice as to the best options which are available to you.

Advantages of Jumbo Screen Printing
1. Oversized Design Area
Go beyond standard print zones—jumbo screen printing lets you cover almost the entire front, back, or side of a garment, ideal for wraparound or all-over designs.
2. Maximum Visual Impact
Larger prints naturally draw more attention. Perfect for bold graphics, branding, or promotional wear that needs to be seen from a distance.
3. Ideal for Creative Expression
Designers and fashion brands love the creative freedom jumbo printing offers—full-scene illustrations, typography that flows over seams, and abstract layouts are all possible.
4. High-Quality Print Finish
Despite the size, jumbo screen printing maintains the same sharpness, colour vibrancy and durability as standard screen printing.
5. Bold, Vivid Colours
Jumbo Screen printing delivers strong, vibrant colours thanks to thick layers of ink that sit on top of the fabric. Pantone colour matching to keep true to brand colours & guidelines. Giving a professional finish.
6. High Long Lasting durability & Quality
The inks used are long-lasting and resistant to repeated washing.
Disadvantages of Jumbo Screen Printing
1. High Setup Costs for Small Runs
Each colour requires a separate screen, which takes time and money to produce. More screen printing equipment means higher costs. For short runs or one-off designs, the setup costs are not cost-effective.
2. Limited Colour Usage per Design
The process becomes more complex and expensive with each additional colour. It’s best suited for designs with fewer colours and less intricate detail.
3. Not Ideal for Photographic or Gradient Designs
Fine details, gradients, or photo-realistic images are difficult to reproduce accurately. Screen printing works best for bold lines and graphic elements.
4.Not Ideal for All Garments
Jumbo prints work best on flat surfaces. This means limited options if you're hoping to print on fitted garments, kidswear, or items with seams and zips where the ink may not transfer cleanly.
