The brief
The Guardian needed 30 printed T-shirts for its staff to wear at upcoming music festivals. The print had to match the blue of the Guardian logo precisely, so we found the Pantone reference and matched the ink to it.
The events were sponsored by BlackBerry, so its logo had to sit on the design too, in its own correct colours.
What we did
One screen printed all 30 shirts across the sizes, with the ink matched to both logos’ brand colours.
The job ran on our express printing service.
Matching two brands on one shirt
The Guardian is part of a media group with international online arms, alongside The Observer and The Guardian Weekly. The shirt carried their logo and BlackBerry's, and both had to sit inside their own brand guidelines.
That meant finding the Pantone reference for the colour and matching the ink to it rather than eyeballing it. Two brands on one garment is the case where a near-enough colour is noticed by somebody.
“Many thanks to the Garment Printing team for the quick turnaround and tremendous quality of our Guardian festivals T-Shirts. Your professionalism and fine customer service were much appreciated. It was a pleasure to work with you, and I look forward to the next time I can use your services.”
