Campaign T-shirts for No More Page Three

A campaign T-shirt has one job: be read from across the street. The people running No More Page Three, the campaign to stop The Sun printing topless models on page three, asked us for shirts that would raise awareness, sell on the campaign website for women’s charities, and travel on Twitter and Facebook.

Printed T-shirts for the No More Page Three campaign

The brief

Three designs, on black and white T-shirts. The garment had to be durable, comfortable, soft, well-fitting, unisex and 100% cotton. The shirts would be sold through a single official source, so they had to be instantly recognisable.

What we did

We recommended the Gildan Soft Style GD01, which met every requirement on the list, and a centre-front print position: the most visible place on a T-shirt and the one we use for public-awareness campaigns. Screen printing gave a clean print and let us produce the full quantity quickly.

The result

The shirts were worn by supporters including the comedian Russell Brand, the social media following grew, and The Sun subsequently stopped page three. We were proud to be part of it.
