Born To Shine: printed T-shirts for ITV and Save the Children

Born To Shine was a six-week ITV series in which talented children mentored celebrities in a new skill, raising money for Save the Children, the title borrowed from the charity’s ‘No Child Born To Die’ campaign. Two logos, two very different print jobs, one T-shirt.

Printed t-shirts for ITV and Save the Children

The brief

The series raised funds through voting revenue and viewer donations, alongside films from Save the Children supporters on the charity’s work in India, Liberia, Kenya, Sierra Leone, South Africa and the UK. ITV and the charity asked us for custom printed T-shirts carrying both the Born To Shine and Save the Children logos.

What we did

The Save the Children logo had to match the charity’s colours exactly, so we screen printed it on the back of the shirt. The Born To Shine logo on the front was another matter, multiple colours, shading and a metallic finish with a reflection beneath it. That went to direct-to-garment printing, which reproduces that kind of detail accurately.

We also sponsored the event.

The result

Both Save the Children and ITV were pleased with the finished T-shirts, and ITV gave us a mention on the Born To Shine page of its website.
