DTG on polyester: Brighton Marathon vests for Guild Care
Guild Care, based in Worthing, works towards a community where people shape the services they need to live healthy, independent lives. A team of its supporters signed up for the Brighton Marathon, and one of the runners, Sam, designed the vest they would wear for 26 miles.
The brief
Polyester running vests with a comfortable, vibrant print, something that would raise awareness of the charity around the streets of Brighton without the runners feeling it on their skin for two or three hours.
What we did
We printed the design by DTG onto white 100% polyester running tops on our Brother GT3. The result is colourful and the print sits soft on the fabric, without changing its feel or weight, which is what you want on a marathon vest.
The garments were AWDis polyester running tops: the JC015 for the women and the JC007 for the men. They were dispatched to the charity with time to spare before the race.
