In at 10am, out at 11.15am: same-day printing for Nike

The brief

Nike needed same-day T-shirt printing, but with a twist: this was a print-only order. They supplied the garments themselves and we printed onto them. We do offer print-only, but it can affect turnaround, because the clock only starts once the client’s garments arrive, in almost every other order we supply the stock ourselves.

What we did

The design was a single-colour black print, so we screen printed it. The garments were received directly from Nike at 10am and went out for same-day delivery at 11.15am.

Printing on the client's own garments

This was a print-only job: the client supplied the garments. We offer it, and it is worth knowing that it can create problems, because we have no control over what arrives, in what condition, or in what quantity. In about 99% of our orders we supply the stock ourselves.

Screen printing was the right method twice over. It processes a large quantity in a short time, and with an all-black print there is a single screen to set, because the set-up grows with every additional colour, one silk mesh screen each.
