The brief
Promotional T-shirts for staff to wear at various events, with an individual name on each garment. The artwork supplied was not the best.
What we did
Because the shared design was going down by direct-to-garment printing, imperfect artwork was not a serious problem. The names were a different task, one garment, one name, so those went on as CAD-cut vinyl, which is made for short personalised runs. Two techniques on one shirt, each doing what it does best.
The result
The team have worn the shirts at fundraising and awareness events around London and were happy with the result.
The roastery
Climpson & Sons have been part of the London specialty coffee scene since near its beginning, sourcing, roasting and crafting from East London. Their espresso blends and single origin beans come out of constant testing: which brew method, which extraction, how a given roast behaves in a given machine.
Their sourcing is directed at flavour and quality first, with an ethos on sustainability that means the coffees they sell carry a transparent story and the producer is paid more for quality. That is a company that will notice whether a printed shirt is any good.
