Leyton Orient are a professional football team which are currently playing in the fourth tier of English football – also known as League Two. They are based in Leyton, in the London borough of Waltham Forest and they are affectionately known to their fans as the O’s.
Leyton Orient had some legal issues with their sponsor which was displayed across the front of their teams printed football shirts. For this reason, they required the original print to be covered up before their next league game on the coming Saturday. They got in touch with us on Tuesday asking if we were able to cover an existing print and replace it with a charity logo and then get the shirts delivered back to them in time for the game.
As the time was short, there wasn’t time to remove the existing print from the front of the football shirts. Instead, we decided that it was best to consider using a flock vinyl print to cover up the existing print and then cover the flock with the charity logo using transfer printing.
Once we had covered their existing sponsor and placed the charity logo over the top, we were concerned that the printed T-Shirts would be too heavy for the players to run in comfortably. To ensure that everything was perfect for their next league match, we provided Leyton Orient with a free sample which was sent to them in advance to see if it was acceptable or not.
After checking with the players, the client was more than happy for us to proceed with the order and create the remainder of the team’s printed football kits.
As a side note, after the printing was complete, Leyton Orient went on a four-game unbeaten streak.
Tom Jeffes, Head of of Commercial Development at Leyton Orient FC, contacted us after the football shirts were delivered to them and said:
“Garment Printing were extremely helpful in producing and applying logos onto our first team shirts. This was something that had an extremely short turnaround time and the service we received was nothing short of first class.
“On top of this, the price was very competitive and I can’t thank the team at Garment Printing enough.”
